Suriya and Hari have been quietly nursing a monster of a franchise in South India that proved to be extremely profitable in every language it was made. The sensational combination of Aaru, Deva and Singham films is back to hit big on screen with Singham 3, in short, S3. The movie was supposed to be a Diwali festive release but Suriya decided to release the film for a later date giving way for his brother’s ambitious project, Kashmora. After deciding to release for 16th December, the movie came out with all the promotions and garnered enough hype among the common audience.
But the producers have decided to push the release date by a weak and the movie is now releasing for 23rd December. The movie is said to be the highest budget flick in the franchise and a lot of expectations are riding on the project. Suriya who is going through a low phase got a break with Singham 2 and then again he failed to recreate the similar magic with Anjaan, Masss/Rakshasudu and even 24 just became an above average grosser for him. He is looking for a massive hit to keep up his place in the top actors. For him the best option is S3.
The team decided to go with a new music director, Harris Jayaraj for the film opposed to their regular, Devi Sri Prasad. The audio has been well received and fans are waiting to hear from the hero and the producers the reason behind this postponement. Suriya is coming to Hyderabad tomorrow and he is going to attend a pre release function at Prasads Labs preview theatre to address the issue and talk about the reason behind the sudden decision. Many suspect the ongoing Demonetization as a reason for the decision. Well, we would know the exact reason tomorrow. Anushka, Shruthi Hasan are playing the leading ladies in the film.
