Yami Reflects On Praise, Says ‘Good Cinema Will Win’

Yami Gautam, who recently received strong praise for her performance in Haq with Emraan Hashmi, shared a heartfelt message on social media.

She thanked fans and the film industry for supporting her work. Her note comes just days before her husband Aditya Dhar’s new film Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, hits theatres.

Yami said she wanted to express gratitude before the new Friday releases begin, especially since this week is important to her.

She mentioned how Haq, a small film, received respect even in a time when movies are judged instantly with multiple reviews, box-office numbers, and comparisons. She also found it sweet when people used the phrase “Yami ka haq”.

Yami added that every film teaches something new, and as an artist, she still doesn’t know what true validation means. But this uncertainty keeps her motivated to choose meaningful stories and give her best. She ended by saying that good cinema will always win.
