Yami Gautham hopes to direct as well

Yami Gautham started her career with Telugu films after her modeling and advertising stint that made her popular as the face of Fair and Lovely. The actress took to acting as a serious occupation once she got a hit in Hindi with Vicky Donor. After the film, she looked to act in more and more Hindi films. With her latest, Kaabil becoming a hit where she shared screen with Hrithik Roshan, she is trying to take her career progress in Hindi films more seriously.

The actress said, “I like Southern films and in fact, I started my career as an actress in South Indian films only. I am happy to do as many films as I can here. Will, definitely concentrate more on doing them where get time and good script. Right now, I am a bit busy with Hindi films as continuous offers are coming from the Hindi producers. I am also looking for a better script that will prove my acting skills even better and hope, I will soon find one.”

She also shared her interest in giving classical dance performances on stage. She said, “I am a trained dancer as I learnt classical dance at an young age. I am planning to improve my skills further and give as many stage performances as I can.” Then, she also shared that she is interested in other crafts in filmmaking other than acting as well. She shared, “I am getting acquainted with direction and script writing skills. I have few ideas that I feel will be well translated on screen by me. Soon, I will try to make a short film to prove that to my producers as well.”
