Yami Gautam Could Share Screen With Kriti Sanon

According to reports Yami Gautam is in talks with Aanand L Rai to play a parallel lead in his upcoming fantasy film Nayi Naveli alongside Kriti Sanon. Yami has recently returned to work after her maternity leave. Her next film Haq is set to release in theaters on November 7th.

Nayi Naveli draws inspiration from Indian folk tales and the makers are keen on signing Yami for an important role.

A source said that Rai wants the film to feel rooted in Indian folklore while also having a big-screen fantasy appeal.

Kriti Sanon playing a part-folklore heroine and part-mystical warrior, was the first choice. Adding Yami would bring freshness, as the two actors have never worked together before.

The source added that while Kriti is busy with Tere Ishq Mein promotions in October, and Yami is tied up with Haq, workshops and costume trials could begin in November, aiming to start shooting in December.
