Performance: Divya Khosla Kumar has played the role of Ladli very well in the film. Divya’s performance in the mature role of a Punjabi girl in the big city is commendable. Meezaan Jaffrey has also done justice to his character. It would not be wrong to say that Divya and Meezaan have taken charge of the film. Pearl V Puri’s work has also been okay. At the same time, Yashdas Gupta’s acting appeared loose in some places.
Technicalities: The direction is amazing. The story has been presented on screen as it is. Being a youth-oriented film, there is no scene seen in the film which is not associated with the youth. Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru did not let the film weaken anywhere.
Analysis: ‘Yaariyan 2’ is the Hindi remake of South’s Bangalore Days. It is directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. The story of the film was written by Muhammad Asif Ali. The director has done a good job of making the film youth-friendly. But the story of the film seems a bit scattered. The first half may feel a bit long. The film picks up pace in the second half. Its emotional scenes are impressive.
The music of the film is good. There are some Punjabi songs according to youth and dance numbers. The song of the T series makes the film more interesting.
Verdict: Overall, this story based on love and brother-sister bond in life is worth watching once for those who like family films.
