All India Superstar Aamir Khan who created a niche for himself by acting in many memorable films and giving great performances came to Hyderabad to promote his latest release Dangal, dubbed Telugu version, Yuddham due to hit screens this Friday. He interacted with media today and few of the interesting excerpts from the interaction are here. Aamir Khan said that he wanted to show his film to major number of audience so he decided to dub the hindi version into regional languages. He said this is not about just financial gain but the story demands such a reach to be given priority.
When asked about if he is happy with the dubbing quality, he said he saw some scenes and as far as those scenes, songs and trailers he is happy with the output. When he was asked about will the Demonetization effect his movie’s collections he said that he is happy with the government’s decision and he thinks that majority of films are moving into digitalisation, therefore, it won’t effect the collections as much. He also said rather than this movie collecting some crores, he would be satisfied and happy if at least 100 of the movie going audience take inspiration and excel in sports as a career for India.
On a lighter note, when he was asked about hypothetical situation of him acting in Telugu, he replied that he would be glad to act in Telugu if role suits him and he would like to star with Pawan Kalyan and he always liked Megastar Chiranjeevi, so if chance comes by he would love to share screenspace with him too! In tamil he said he likes Rajnikanth and he even approached the legend about giving his voice to his character in Tamil. It did not work out but Rajni praised the film and Aamir said he would like to act with him any time.He wished the Telugu and Tamil versions will have
He wished the Telugu and Tamil versions will have impact on South audience as well and there will be more Olympic Medalists from Southern states. Yuddham is a biopic of Mahavir Singh Poghat and his daughters Geeta and Babita Kumari. Both off them took coaching under their wrestler father and won medals at Commonwealth games and represented India in Olympics in Wrestling. The film is about how a lower middle class family was able to rise their daughters against odds in Haryana, to become wrestlers breaking stereotypes. The movie will release on 23rd December and music composed by Pritam is already a big success. Nitesh Tiwari directed by the movie.
