World Famous Lover

World Famous Lover was not having any buzz at all from the last few days and released with zero hype today. Read on to see how the film turns out to be.

Story: Gautam played by Vijay Devarakonda is a helpless writer who is struggling to make it big. He is not even bothered about his wife(Raashi Khanna’s ) feelings. So, seeing this careless attitude of Gautam, Yamani leaves him alone and goes away. Upset with this, he writes stories and features all his struggles in the form of different stories. How does he do that forms the rest of the story?

Performances: Vijay Devarakonda was good in the role of a coal mine worker. His dialogue delivery and body language suited the film’s theme. But in all the rest of the stories, he was sleepwalking in the film. He has full on Arjun Reddy hangover and this was so boring to see on screen. Catherine Tresa made her presence felt in the film with her special cameo.

But it is Aiswarya Rajesh who walks away with the cake as she is so good as Suvarna, the village girl. Her performance in tense scenes was so good to see. Raashi Khanna is another highlight as we get to see her in a very grey role this time. She is seen weeping most of the time and does a very good job in an emotional avatar.

Plus
Raashi Khanna
Aishwarya Rajesh

Minus
Fake Emotions
Second Half
Silly climax

Analysis: The film is a mature and romantic drama between two lovers who were in the neck-deep in love. The first half of the film starts well and when the scene shifts to Telangana, the movie sounds interesting. Even though the routine scenes of husband cheating wife are shown, the performance keeps you hooked.

But things go down in the second half once the film moves to Paris. This part is spineless and has so many boring moments and hardly connects with you at all. The way all the stories are connected is also not that great and brings the film down completely in the second part.

Vijay Devarakonda overacts for no reason as there is not much pain in the film. The film also falls flat when the climax time comes as it fake and looks forced. Vijay will need one more film to make a comeback as this film does not provide any entertainment and is a boring watch.

Rating : 2.5/5
