Shankarabharanam is a classic in Telugu Film History, that changed the course of routine commercial entertainers in the 80’s. It gave a space for new directors like Vamsi and even the director of the movie, K. Vishwanath to explore even more subjects that are closer to his heart, in movies like Saptapadi, Swathi Muthyam, Swathi Krinam, Sagara Sangamam and many more.
Now, the director received Dada Saheb Phalke award for his efforts and his pupil have appreciated him different ways. Tulasi who started her career as a child artist with his movie, Shankarabharanam has decided to honour her guru in her own way. She announced Shankarabharanam awards that will be organised by women and they will be in the honour of her guru and will recognise many films in a beautiful evening.
The movie awards function will be held on 20th of June. Tulasi talking about the awards function and the idea behind them said, “I am thrilled with the idea and I hope to honour my guru, K.Vishwanath with a beautiful evening and want to unite many of his artists under one roof that evening as well.”
