Most awaited film of the year of Aamir Khan, Dangal trailer released today. The movie has been the centre of attraction among many bollywood fans since its inception. The movie started shooting in early 2015 after the release of PK in 2014. Since then, many thought the film will release in December 2015 but Aamir being one of the producers needed time to perfect his body and wrestling moves so waited till December 2016 even though film was ready by June.
He did the same recently with Dhoom 3 and PK. Keeping all the release and box office factors aside, the movie’s trailer seems to be the best of 2016. The scene construction and execution seems to be giving the perfect tribute to famous wrestler Mahavir Phogat and his medal winning champion wrestling daughters Geetha phogat and Babita Kumari. Film is a biopic depicting the journey of these young girls coming from Haryana, known for its feudal mindset, illiteracy and backward thinking.
Film seems to be the representative of much required ideology for today’s times, when girl child is being treated as a burden and women as sexual objects. The film represents the power of grit and determination. The most important message from the film will be Humri chori Choron se kam hein kaa( Are our girls any less than boys?)Even though with the delay in release, the film looks like a copy to Sultan, Salman khan ‘s film featuring wrestling as the backdrop situated also in Haryana, but the sincerity of the film’s director Nitesh Tiwari and actors like Aamir, Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Sheikh looks more real than Sultan. Hopefully, the film delivers on its promise. Can’t wait for Dec 23!
