Anushka Shetty has huge mass appeal in Telugu Cinema and for two years, she had no releases at the box office. This point could have been a big help for producers to release her film at theaters on a large scale with good publicity. But Nishabdam film lacked in the publicity factor and also the film team delayed release for unspecified reasons. The release of the film, after long delays was locked in April month and due to lockdown, it had to be pushed further.
Now, as the theatres might not open for another two or three months post lockdown and the chances of public flocking to theaters are also grim, so the producers have opened the possibility of releasing the film on OTT platforms, it seems. They rejected that idea before but now with a better deal that covers their cost and provide a chance for profit, they are thinking about releasing it on a popular OTT platform it seems. They may close the deal for Satellite premiere too, state reports.
