Rakshasudu, starring Bellamkonda Srinivas and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles, was a bonafide success in Telugu and was directed by Ramesh Varma, who is currently directing Ravi Teja in Khiladi. A few weeks ago, it was announced that Ravi Varma would be directing a sequel to Rakshasudu and that the film would be bigger, and made on a pan-Indian scale.
While Ratsasan, the original Tamil movie, doesn’t have a sequel, Ramesh Varma penned a script for a sequel. He said that he plans to involve big names for the project, as he is planning on making it on a grand scale. He also said that he narrated the script to Vijay Sethupathi and that he’s waiting for an answer from the actor, who is currently occupied with several projects.
If Vijay accepts to be a part of the film, then it would be a huge advantage for Ramesh, as Vijay has a good market all over India, thanks to his several film credits, where the actor time and again proved that he’s a gifted actor and can easily mould into any character he’s given, no matter what that character may be. It is now to be seen if Vijay Sethupathi will finally say yes to the project.
