JD Lakshminarayana, alias VV Lakshminarayana, is back in the news again. During a recent television interview , he expressed his views regarding the prospects of Pawan Kalyan in the AP assembly elections. He opines that Pawan Kalyan will secure Pithapuram seat by around 20000 to 30000 votes, while some peoples expect more margin of victory for Pawan Kalyan.
Lakshminarayana, an ex-IPS officer, came to limelight after he worked on many sensitive cases such as Satyam Computers scandal and Obulapuram Mining Corporation case. Later in 2018, after resigning from the IPS, he joined politics and contested in the 2019 polls but lost with over three lakh margin with Janasena ticket under the leadership of Pawan Kalyan.
Even though there are differences with Kalyan, Lakshminarayana is in touch with people of Andhra Pradesh more specifically the youth and farmers and also started a new political party called Jai Bharath National Party (JBNP). These zero-budget campaigns and concentrating on people have shown that he is willing to serve them even while having minimal campaign resources available to him.
