There is no denying that without a vaccine or proper treatment in place, Governments cannot allow people to come out in public. Covid-19 disease as scared us all so much that even if tomorrow Governments ask people to resume their lives, they will be under great panic. Telugu Film Industry experts have been saying from some time that it will take at least 2 more years or a sure shot treatment or introduction of vaccine to recover from the problem as the economic development is also halted due to lockdown.
So, some people believe that as there is a need for content that attracts people to theaters on a consistent basis at 50% or 60% occupancies until social distancing norms are eased, multi-starrers with Mahesh, Ram Charan, NTR, Prabhas and senior heroes could help them recover costs and make sure that audiences will return to theatres like in 1950’s or 60’s. They believe that this is not a pause but a restart and hence, trying out plans like 60’s multistarrers, limiting small budget films to OTT space for time being a solution to survive. Will this be acceptable plan of action?
