Will Mahesh Babu’s huge risk pay off?

It has been a long-standing tradition for Superstar Mahesh Babu to release either a poster or a first look or a teaser of his upcoming films on his father’s birthday. This year too, it was speculated that a poster or a teaser of Mahesh’s upcoming film Sarkaru Vaari Paata would be released on May 31st.

However, Mahesh has put an end to all rumours and clarified that there would be no update on SVP on May 31st. There’s also not going to be any update on Mahesh and Trivikram’s film either. Given that Mahesh always makes it a point to release something on his father’s birthday, fans are a bit concerned that the actor is choosing not to do so this year, and are worried about the fate of SVP.

SVP is directed by Parasuram of Geetha Govindam fame, and Keerthy Suresh is the leading lady of the film, while Thaman is the music director. Once Mahesh completes shooting for SVP, he is expected to start shooting for Trivikram’s film almost immediately. Trivikram is currently fine-tuning the script, and casting the other characters of the film. There are massive expectations on Trivikram and Mahesh’s film as the film marks their third collaboration after Athadu and Khaleja, two fan favourite films.
