At this point of time, it is baffling to even think about theatres re-opening in Telugu states as the constant rise in Covid cases is alarming. But one can only be a hopeful for better tomorrow. In September or October, theatres could open with 30-40% occupancies allowed like in China, for a trial run, it seems. Telugu producers want to have a decent box office run and then a good OTT, Satellite release to cover their expenses.
Will that be the case? We hope so. According to some reports, first release whenever theatres re-open could be Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story. The film has only one schedule left to finish the shoot and Shekar Kammula, the director of the film, planned well to complete it even in these circumstances, it seems. Once the cases decrease, the team will start shooting to complete the film and producers are hoping for a good wide release, it seems. Sai Pallavi is acting as lead with Naga Chaitanya. Few other producers, even though their films are ready are not sure about immediate release, it seems. Let’s wait for more details.
