It is always tough to see a film that many of the viewers otherwise show loads of interest, take a complete back seat due to some sudden emergency kind of situation. Naga Chaithanya Akkineni’s much talked about debut movie, Josh ended up a flop due to the circumstances that prevailed during the day more than the merit of the film. Even today, we keep hearing to few songs by Sandeep Chowta from the album but the movie released at the wrong time.
The sudden death of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, shocked many in now, two Telugu states and the film released just two days after and suffered due to lack of good opening. Now, Kamal Haasan, is in such situation. He may not face such huge challenge in other languages but as the main film language is Tamil and business is done looking at market of the hero in Tamil, the movie might suffer heavy due to Kalaignar Karunanidhi’s demise.
Kamal Haasan had to even cancel his promotional tours and come to witness Karunanidhi’s last rites in Chennai. The actor had to face lot of hurdles and production problemd to get the movie rolling after 5 years and release it, finally. Now, with sudden emergency kind of a situation in Tamil Nadu, his film will take a complete back seat and even if it releases on 10th August, it will end up as a failure as the movies these days are front loaded but we never know if can pull off a rabbit under the hat and make the movie, sustain in theaters till the audience are ready to come to cinema halls. Or he can just postpone it. What will he do about Vishwaroopam-2? Let’s wait and watch, as off now movie is releasing for 10th August for sure.
