Tamil Nadu Assembly elections ended yesterday with a record voter turnout. Vijay’s political party, TVK, contested in all 234 constituencies and now all eyes are on the exit polls and final results.
There is strong speculation that Vijay’s last film Jana Nayagan, will release after the elections.
The Revising Committee has already watched the film and censor clearance was expected but there is still no update on the certificate.
The makers are waiting for the censor approval to announce the release date officially. Meanwhile parts of the film were leaked online causing concern for the team.
Earlier reports suggested April 30th or May 8th release dates but both now seem doubtful due to the delay in censor clearance and pending business deals.
