Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya’s rural drama, Bangarraju under the direction of Kalyan Krishna is all set to hit the screens on January 14th as Sankranthi festival special. Co-starring Ramya Krishna and Krithi Shetty in the key roles, Bangarraju is a spin-off to the 2016 Sankranthi blockbuster Soggade Chinni Nayana.
Already we had reported that the film’s pre-release business for twin Telugu states is closed for Rs 36 crore. But the latest news is that as the AP government has imposed night curfew and limited the theatre occupancy to 50% from today onwards, the distributors and exhibitors across the state are asking for almost 50% discount in from the film’s entire pre-release business done for Andhra and Rayalaseema regions.
Considering the distributors and exhibitors request, will the makers accept for the proposal? Remains to be seen.
