Pooja Hegde, once a prominent heroine in Tollywood, faced a setback following her departure from Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram. While schedule conflicts with her Bollywood commitments were cited as the primary reason, the Telugu film industry seems less enthusiastic about her post this incident.
Reports suggest that Pooja is demanding a fee double that of the current Tollywood sensation. Despite some producers of films featuring Tier-2 heroes considering her due to the unavailability of other starlets, the exorbitant package quoted by Pooja has left them astonished.
The challenges don’t end there; additional costs tied to bringing Pooja on board, including her team’s expenses and undisclosed fees, reportedly add another crore to the budget. Consequently, producers are hesitating to cast her in their projects.
In the current Tollywood situation, attention is predominantly focused on Sreeleela and to a lesser extent, Mrunal Thakur. However, with the industry becoming repetitive in its choices, there is speculation about other actresses, such as Neha Shetty and Anupama Parameswaran, seizing the opportunity to secure significant roles in major projects.
