Milky beauty Tamannaah recently shared her views on the differences between Bollywood and South Indian cinema especially when it comes to opportunities for women.
In an interview she said Bollywood offers actresses more flexibility allowing them to choose between content-driven roles and mainstream commercial films without fail.
Tamannaah clearly explained that during her long career in the South film industry she understood why many people describe women’s roles as being shaped by a male centric perspective.
She noted that commercial South films often focus strongly on star power, glamour and screen presence which can limit the range of roles available to actresses.
While she clearly respects the requirements of large scale commercial entertainers but Tamannaah feels Bollywood provides more diverse opportunities and gives female actors greater freedom to explore different kinds of characters and performances for sure.
