The recently unveiled trailer for Chandramukhi 2 has garnered a lukewarm response, leaving many fans disappointed. Despite the high anticipation surrounding the film, the team appears to have fallen short of expectations.
In this upcoming sequel, Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut take on the lead roles, attempting to recreate the iconic magic of the original Chandramukhi, which featured Jyotika in a memorable performance. Interestingly, Sai Pallavi was reportedly the initial choice for the dancer role in Chandramukhi 2.
But Sai Pallavi declined the offer, seemingly aware of the daunting task of following in Jyotika’s footsteps. Kangana Ranaut eventually stepped into the role. Upon viewing the trailer, many have praised Sai Pallavi’s decision as the right one, although it’s important to note that the trailer is just a glimpse of the film, and the full picture will only emerge upon its release.
Directed by P Vasu, Chandramukhi 2 boasts a star-studded cast, including Vadivelu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Srushti Dange, Mithun Shyam and Subiksha Krishnan. The film’s musical score is composed by MM Keeravani, and it is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 15, across multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
