Why Prabhas can never be matched at pan-Indian level

Young rebel star Prabhas is one of those actors who has always enjoyed a loyal fanbase in the Telugu states, irrespective of the result of his films at the box office. He is also the only actor who enjoyed a massive female fan base after Superstar Mahesh Babu, back in the day. There wasn’t one actor who could match up to the looks, charm or personality of Prabhas, on the big screen, and off the screen either. With the Baahubali franchise, Prabhas’s craze was taken to a whole new level, with the Indian audiences falling in love with him.

Prabhas’s film, Saaho, which was released right after Baahubali 2, also turned out to be a major box office success, especially in Hindi, despite its mixed response in Telugu, going on to further cement the kind of craze that Prabhas managed to amass for himself. Even Prabhas’s recent film, Radhe Shyam, had heavy expectations on it, leading up to the film’s release, the trailer of Radhe Shyam currently occupies the first spot with the most number of views for its trailer, in the South, with 23.20M views in 24 hours, followed by Baahubali 2 (21.81M), and then RRR (20.45M).

With Salaar showing good promise, with a lot of action, and an out and out massy avatar of Prabhas, it is expected that no one would be able to meet Prabhas’s range at the Indian box office with the film. Considering the kind of craze that Prabhas continues to hold among the Indian audience, at a time when so many other actors are trying their best to get the same kind of craze, it is safe to say that no one can match Prabhas in the pan-Indian level.
