Niharika Konidela has become quite a household name thanks to her web series —read Muddapappu Avakai — and TV shows. But after Oka Manasu, several section of the press and the film fraternity have been hell bent on proclaiming that she doesn’t fit the bill of the ‘heroine’ as apparently she isn’t glamourous enough! To them we would like to say, world over, there are glamour girls who exist but then there are those as well who carve their niche based on their acting chops.
And for all, Niharika is a stunning young women, trying to do something different. If she wears ‘simple’ cotton sarees and seems like the ‘girl next door’ its because her character, pretty slice of life roles, demand that. Its high time we changed our sensibilities as a viewers and embrace change with open arms. Way to go girl,you rock, there’s no need for you to prance around in designer clothes at snowy mountains.
