Fans of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe were shocked after Karthi’s latest comments on Kaithi 2. During promotions for Vaa Vaathiyaar in Hyderabad, reporters once again asked him about the sequel.
Karthi first smiled and said, “Very soon”, but when the same question came again, he gave a surprising, sarcastic reply, “There’s only one update… I still don’t know anything about Kaithi 2”.
This instantly went viral because it clearly showed that Lokesh Kanagaraj has not spoken to Karthi about the sequel. Many felt Karthi sounded disappointed and his reaction hinted that the movie may not start anytime soon.
At the same time, reports suggest that Lokesh will first focus on Vikram 2 with Suriya (Rolex) and later a pan-India project with Allu Arjun.
This has made fans of Dilli feel left out. They are now asking online, “Why is every LCU film moving forward except Kaithi 2?”
