Dil Raju, initially set to produce Indian 2, exited the project due to issues, paving the way for Lyca Productions. However, Lyca faced budget constraints and legal battles with director Shankar. Consequently, Dil Raju collaborated with Shankar and Ram Charan for Game Changer after the Indian 2 fallout. Eventually, Udaynidhi Stalin’s involvement revived Indian 2.
Shankar is concurrently filming Indian 2 and Game Changer. Indian 2, due to extensive footage, will be released in two parts, with shoot completed and post-production underway. Indian 3 has also made significant progress in filming. Game Changer’s shooting is ongoing and slated for completion by May or June.
In the Telugu states, Asian Sunil Narang, Suresh Babu, and NV Prasad secured the rights for Indian 2. Despite his collaboration on Game Changer, Dil Raju’s absence from Indian 2’s rights acquisition surprises many.
Speculations suggest his lack of faith in the project led to his initial withdrawal and subsequent disinterest in securing its rights. Dil Raju’s decision to distance himself from Indian 2, despite his partnership with Shankar on another project, leaves enthusiasts questioning his confidence in the film’s potential.
