Why Did Neelam Kothari Quit Movies..?

Neelam Kothari was a leading actress in the 1980s who left movies at the peaks of her career. So why did she decide to leave let’s find out.

In 2022, Neelam, who has since appeared in three seasons of “Bollywood Wives” said that that women need to find their own paths, whether as homemakers, mothers, or in other roles.

She said, “Being independent is very important. When I felt that the films I was being offered weren’t good and I wasn’t happy, I made the difficult decision to quit. I wanted to leave while I was at the top instead of fading away”.

Earlier this year, she also mentioned in an interview that she thought her time in the film industry was over.

She acknowledged that she had a great start in the 80s and 90s but believed her life in cinema had come to an end.
