Who acquired the Telugu rights for Karthi’s Sardar?

Tamil star Karthi is currently working on a project titled, Sardar. The film is being directed by PS Mithran and is gearing up for a Diwali 2022 release in Telugu as well with the same title.

Meanwhile, the latest we hear is that Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studios banner has bagged the Telugu distribution rights of Sardar. Inside reports say that the deal is closed for Rs 6 crore.

Co-starring Raashi Khanna and Rajisha Vijayan as the female leads, Sardar has its music composed by GV Prakash Kumar. As the film is the first outing from the actor-director duo Karthi and PS Mithran, the expectations on Sardar are quite high among the moviegoers.
