We’re sharing an old interview with Jaya Bachchan today in which she talked about her relationship with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan got incredibly lucky with their kids – they have a wonderful and loving daughter Shweta Bachchan and a caring son Abhishek Bachchan. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek’s wife, has also gotten along well with the Bachchan family over the years in addition to them. But which household is without a saas-bahu storyline? Yet, Jaya had previously clarified their relationship and referred to her as her “friend.”
Instead of having the typical saas-bahu relationship, Jaya and Aishwarya enjoy a lovely friendship. Several times, Jaya has talked about Aishwarya and vice versa with great love and care in their hearts.
Jaya Bachchan has discussed her relationship with her bahu Aishwarya Rai Bachchan while denying all the rumours. Jaya stated that Aishwarya is her “friend” and that she doesn’t engage in politics behind her back in an interview She is my buddy. If I don’t like something about her, I tell her on her face. I don’t do politics behind her back. If she disagrees with me, she expresses herself. Only difference is that I can be a little more dramatic and she has to be more respectful. I am old, you know. That’s all.”
Jaya Bachchan continued the conversation by saying, “We truly like lying about at home and chatting nonsense. We are the only two. Despite her limited time, we always appreciate what she does. I get along really well with her. And well, their public appearances have been quite a testament of that.
Abhishek Bachchan previously discussed how his wife Aishwarya and mother Jaya behave at home in an interview in 2015. He revealed, “Ma and Ash gang up against me and they keep rattling on in Bengali. As Mom is Bengali and Aishwarya worked with Rituda (the late Rituparno Ghosh) in Chokher Bali, she is also quite fluent in the language. Hence, they begin speaking Bengali anytime they must work together to oppose me.
For those who are unaware, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan’s romance first developed in Dhoom 2 (2006) and intensified in Guru (2007). Later in same year, they had married the knot and in 2011, the pair embraced fatherhood as they welcomed their little girl Aaradhya Bachchan
