The most recent Fukrey 3 poster and release date announcement earlier this week made comedy franchise fans happy. Richa Chaddha, Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, and Pankaj Tripathi, who are standard Fukrey cast members, were included on the poster. However, both the official press release and the poster omitted Ali Fazal, a significant character from the franchise.
Ali has finally spoken out over his absence from the third comedy in the franchise’s announcement. The actor’s schedule conflicts with the filming of Mirzapur 3, the upcoming season of the mafia series on Amazon Prime Video, preventing him from taking part in Fukrey 3. Coincidentally, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under their business Excel Entertainment produce both the Fukrey and Mirzapur franchises.
In response to the Fukrey 3 announcement not featuring his character Zafar, Ali remarked in a statement, “So Zafar aayega nay nahi? Baar Baar, Sab yahi puch rahe. Sorry, Saathiyon, but I’m afraid not! Guddu bhaiya bhi banna padhta hai, Zafar bhai ko kabhi kabhi. Everyone is asking if Zafar will return, but friends, not this time. Or do universes overlap ho jaate hain kabhi kabhi. There are moments when Guddu Bhaiya, Zafar’s Mirzapur character, must take on a different identity.
But Ali vowed that Zafar would eventually come back. “Once a Fukra, always a Fukra,” they mean. So, I’m here. But I won’t be appearing in the third film starring Bholi (Richa) and Panditji (Tripathi) as the Fukras! Time and schedules prevented me from participating as much as I would have liked to. At some point in the future, perhaps earlier than you anticipate, I shall return. After a brief break, Zafar will return to amuse you guys. It appears that Ali just made a possible Fukrey 4 hint.
