Did you ever wonder what Rakul’s name really means? Well, apparently the actress herself does not know what it stands for. Surprised much? The actress’ parents reportedly named her by combining their names.

“Ra and Kul were the first parts of their name and so they just put them together,” quipped the actress in a recent interview. Her mother’s name is Kulwinder Singh, and father is Rajender Singh. But we don’t care as much as we get to see her o-screen, after all, as Shakespeare once profoundly asked, What’s in a name?
