Nobody could have predicted the last words that Soundarya spoke to her sister-in-law. It has to do with kumkum and cotton sarees.

One of the most recognizable actors to have appeared on South Indian television was Soundarya. She won a lot of followers thanks to her charisma and on-screen presence. But sadly, the actress passed away too soon; on April 17, 2004, at the age of 27, she perished in a plane crash.

What she said to her sister-in-law on the day she died in the accident has now been made public. It is not anything that one would typically anticipate considering that her past two requests were for kumkum and cotton sarees.

It was revealed that the Doni Saagali actress requested her sister-in-law two things right before she boarded the tragic flight. The two items were kumkum and cotton sarees. Since Soundarya lacked cotton sarees, she asked her sister-in-law Niramala to buy one for her. She wanted to take part in their political activities wearing cotton sarees because she had joined the BJP as well.

Her sister-in-law revealed that Soundarya left to catch her flight after stating this but did not return, adding that she also desired kumkum. The actress insisted on wearing kumkum. Nobody in the family would have imagined that this would be their final encounter with Soundarya. All of the actress’s fans found her untimely death to be tragic, so we can only imagine what it did to her family.

One of the top actresses in Telugu films continues to be Soundarya. She also expanded her influence into other South Asian businesses. But in addition to the South, she is also well-known among Hindi moviegoers because they saw her in Sooryavansham opposite Amitabh Bachchan.

Soundarya has never left the thoughts of Bollywood fans or the South public, since the movie has its own afterlife as a result of being rebroadcast on television.
She received various honors in different fields throughout her career, including one National Film Award for Best Feature Film. This was for the 2002 Kannada movie Dweepa, in which she also acted and produced.
