Shankar Shanmugham is one of the respected legends of craft in Indian Cinema. He made very less films compared to even celebrated legends like Mani Ratnam or K. Balachander but he redefined commercial cinema in South Cinema.
He brought in huge VFX technology into the storytelling by taking his stories to grand heights. He is now coming with 2.0, the biggest budget film of Indian Cinema.
He shared a secret that he never did. “When you are making such huge budget films nothing can go wrong. If something does, we have found a way to rectify it. I used to get highly angry on sets and restless for people to take everything seriously.
But later I understood getting angry people on sets won’t help them or our film. So, I started being calm and finding solutions than getting upset and being unhappy,” said Shankar.
