What is the box office status of MEB?

Akkineni Akhil and Pooja Hegde’s romantic drama, Most Eligible Bachelor was released on October 15th as a Dusshera festival special. Opened to below-par reports from critics, cashing in on the festival vibe, the film managed to generate good revenues at the ticket windows during its first weekend and later witnessed a drop.

As per the trade reports, Most Eligible Bachelor saw a huge drop during its second weekend also but as per the box office collections, MEB attained hit status. Reportedly, the film has collected more than ₹22 crores worldwide share and emerged as a safe venture for all the parties involved.

Most Eligible Bachelor is the first commercial success for Akhil and is a good break to the director Bommarillu Bhaskar, who is away from the Telugu industry for almost a decade.
