Akshay Kumar and the cast of Welcome 3 were urged by FWICE to postpone filming until Firoz Nadiadwala paid the outstanding balance on the previous movie.
This year, producer Firoz Nadiadwala surprised Akshay Kumar’s fans by announcing the threequel to Welcome, which will be called Welcome To Jungle. On Khiladi Kumar’s birthday, the movie’s extravagant star cast and its December 2024 release date were revealed. The superstar and the other performers in the movie have now been asked by FWICE not to begin shooting.
According to reports, Firoz Nadiadwala is still owing payments to the Welcome 2 crew, and technicians, along with director Anees Bazmee, are still waiting for their money after their checks bounced.
The producers have already been urged by FWICE to pay their outstanding debts. In reality, according to reports, Firoz Nadiadwala received a non-cooperation warning a few years ago after the director of Welcome 2 Anees Bazmee’s checks bounced due to incomplete payment.
According to the FWICE President, who spoke with ETimes exclusively, “We have informed all the actors of the film, including Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani, that the federation has issued a non-cooperation on Firoz Nadiadwala for defaulting payments and that they should not shoot for the film unless pending dues of Rs 2cr is cleared for the technicians.”
“Firoz Nadiadwala had paid the Welcome 2 technicians in 2015, and the amount was approximately Rs 4 crore, which was later reduced to Rs 2 crore,” he continued. However, when we deposited the cheque, Nadiadwala stopped paying it.
The filming of Welcome To Jungle, or Welcome 3, will not start until all past-due amounts have been paid, according to FWICE. The third installment, which also stars Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta, Raveena Tandon, and many others, was revealed on Akshay Kumar’s 56th birthday. Ahmed Khan will helm the movie, which will debut on December 20, 2024.
