Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s dark action thriller, Pathaan under the direction of Siddharth Anand had a theatrical release on January 25th.
Along with Hindi, the film had a simultaneous release in Telugu and Tamil versions as well.
Opened to largely positive reports, the film witnessed Rs 55 crore nett on its first day at the Indian box office.
The film’s worldwide opening day gross is said to be close to Rs 120 crore.
As per the trade reports, the film is performing beyond expectations at the box office. The film’s second-day collections on its 2nd day are likely to be more than opening day.
Reportedly, the film is likely to collect Rs 65 crore Nett on Thursday.
As the weekend has just started, the real game of Pathaan will start tomorrow.
As per the reports, the Telugu version of Pathaan theatrical rights are sold for Rs 3.96 crore and the film should collect Rs 4.25 crore share to be a safe bet for the buyers here.
As per the going trend, Pathaan is likely to cross the break-even mark and collect more than the target by the end of its extended weekend.
Co-starring Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia in key roles, Pathaan also has Salman Khan in a key cameo.
Pathaan is part of Yash Raj Films’ spy universe. The film is eyeing Rs 500 crore gross by the end of its full run, predict trade experts.
