The shooting for Kollywood Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming action thriller, Jailer is underway at a brisk pace.
Being directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Beast fame, the film’s shooting is going on at a specially erected Jail set at a studio in Hyderabad.
Though the makers initially planned to release the film in April later news came out that the film is likely to skip the summer release slot.
Now, the latest we hear is that the team is planning to release Jailer on April 11th during Independence Day weekend.
If Jailer comes on April 11th, it will definitely be a setback for Mahesh Babu-Trivikram’s film ( tentatively titled SSMB28) which is also aiming at the same day release date.
Also starring Tamannaah, Kannada star Shivarajkumar and Malayalam star Mohanlal in prominent roles, Jailer has Sunil in a key role.
Co-starring Ramya Krishnan in a negatively shaded character, Jailer also has Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu and Vinayakan crucial roles,
Jailer is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures banner. Anirudh is the music composer.
