Born on 24 June 1940, Murali Mohan is one of the most versatile actors of the Telugu Film Industry, who has been working in the field for over five decades now.  

He has appeared in more than 350 films in a variety of roles, from cameos to starring men. In addition to acting, he has also worked as a producer and held a number of jobs at the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and the Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation.  

He even served as the Honorary President of the Telugu Movie Artists Association until the elections in 2015. He has also won three Nandi awards for his performances.  

He is also the chairman of the multi-crore construction company Jayabheri Group,  which has  several ventures  in Hyderabad.

Personal Life : Murali Mohan is married to Vijaya Lakshmi, with whom he has a daughter, Madhu Bindhu, and a son Ram Mohan 

Career : Murali Mohan made his acting debut in 1973 with the Atluri Poornachandra Rao-produced film Jagame Maya, but it wasn't until the Dasari Narayana Rao-directed Tirupati in 1974 that he became well-known. Since then, he has appeared in 350 films.  

He turned a producer in 1981, with Varala Abbayi, which was his 100th film. He produced 25 films, of which Superstar  Mahesh Babu’s Athadu  is one. 

Through the Telugu Desam Party, Murali Mohan has also participated actively in politics. In 2009, he ran for the 15th Loksabha as the TDP's candidate in the Andhra Pradesh parliamentary district of Rajahmundry, however he was unsuccessful. He was elected to the 16th Loksabha in 2014 as a representative for Rajahmundry.
