Hero Sundeep Kishan’s period action drama set in the 90s time period, Michael under the direction of Ranjit Jeykodi had a theatrical release on February 3rd.
Co-starring Vijay Sethupathi in a key cameo, the film also has Gautham Menon, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Anasuya, Varun Sandesh, and Ayyappa among others in prominent roles.
The film was released amidst good expectations among the public but the film failed to live up to the expectations.
Meanwhile, the latest news we bring you is that Michael’s post-theatrical streaming platforms are bagged by digital giant Netflix.
Reportedly, Netflix has acquired the streaming rights of Michael by offering a decent price. The rights are snapped even before the film’s release.
As the word of mouth is not so encouraging, the film is expected to be premiered on the digital space sometime in March.
Also starring Divyanshu Kaushik as the female lead, Michael is some top-notch visuals by Kiran Koushik. Sam CS’s background score works in parts.
Overall, Michael has stylish making but lacks a gripping screenplay and narrative. Vijay Sethupathi and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar are totally wasted as their roles lack proper justification.
Adding to it, the pace of the film is also a minus as the entire film runs on a slow note without any high moments.
