Meter Movie Review & Rating

Meter, a commerical entertainer starring Kiran Abbavaram and Athulya Ravi as the lead pair has hit the screens today.Let’s see how it fares.

Story: Arjun Kalyan( Kiran Abbavaram) who hails from Rajamundry becomes a police officer. Despite his lack of interest in the profession Arjun Kalyan gets appointed as SI Punjagutta police station.

Soon after taking charge as SI, Arjun Kalyan faces heat form home minister Kantam Baireddy (Dhanush Pawan). Due to the same he comes to know about a truth. What is the truth? How strong will Ajun Kalyan fight for the truth, forms the crucial crux.

Performances: Kiran Abbavaram perfectly fitted in the role in the mass avatar. His amazing transformation as a mass cop adds realistic texture to the proceedings.

His massy dilaouge delivery is an added advantage for the film. Kiran presented himself in a stylish cop due to which a couple of scenes get elevataed nicely.

Heroine Athulya Ravi is wasted totally as her character is not explored properly. She sid more or less usage for the songs andher character lacks proper impact.

Dhanush Pawan is engaging with his act as his screen presence is appealing throughout the film.

Other noted actors as such as sapthagiri are okay in their hero sidekick roles.

Technicalities: Sai Karthik’s music is outdated as none of the tunes register. So is the case with the background score. Which has a limited impact.

Photography by Venkat C Dileep is okay but would have been even better. Production values by stop production Mythri.vaues by Movie Makers banner are surprisingly poor and the so is the case with the production design work.

Dilaouge are silly and the least we talk about artwork.

Analysis: Ramesh Koduri directs Meter. Looks like it’s a wasted opportunity for the debutant director.

The director focused on presenting the film is an old school formate just by writting some mass elevations scenes on the hero character which looks silly and outdated.

Adding to it,the poor screenplay and lack of proper presentation makes the film even more worst and boring. To summerize, Meter is an unengaging poorly written and directed mass dramas which backfires miserably.

Verdict: rountine meter!
