Malli Pelli Movie Review & Rating

The Sensational couple Naresh and Pavitra Lokesh made their relationship open long back. Senior filmmaker M.S Raju directed a film titled, Malli Pelli.

Amdist good buzz among the audience, the film has hit the screens today. Let’s see how it fares.

Story: Being a wealthy person, Narendra (Naresh) a popular Telugu actor lacks peace of mind due to a couple of broken marriages. He then marries Soumya Sethupathi (Vanitha Vijayakumar), but this marriage, too, doesn’t offer him peace. 

One day he meets Kannada actress Parvathy (Pavitra Lokesh) on a film set. Eventually, Narendra develops communication and bonding with Parvathy.

On the other hand, Parvathy also has her own set of problems in her love life. But what stops her from expressing her love towards Narendra? What are the complexities the couple faces in their lives together, form the crucial crux.

Performances: Naresh and Pavitra Lokesh lived in the given roles and brought an authentic texture to the proceedings. The chemistry between the lead pair is rock solid which is required very much for a film of this kind.

The film is all about two actors who get into a live-in relationship. This couple-centric drama major revolves around the situations that happen in their respective lives.

Actress Ananya Nagalla gets a small yet glamorous role. The actress gave a decent performance too. Other artists who did supporting roles are okay in their respective roles.

Technicalities: The photography work by Bal Reddy registers well as his framing and camera angles are showcased in a captivating manner. In one word, the photography work is done neatly and apt to the scenes.

The music composed by Suresh Bobbili and Aruldevv brings life to the key scenes which keep the proceedings get connected to the audience. The songs are passable and situational. 

The background score is equally good which is necessary to showcase the drama in an effective manner.

The production values for this limited-budget movie are okay. The production design work for this project is cool and composed. Other departments such as artwork and costume design work are done perfectly.

Analysis: The best part of the film is that the entire narrative is divided into Chapters that can be easily relatable. Especially, the ‘The mistake’ chapter between Narendra and Soumya’s characters was dealt with neatly.

The makers got it right is presenting the chemistry between the lead actors and the sequences involving them in the right manner. Major credits should be given to the director Ms. Raju. He dealt with the entire film on an engaging note.

To summarize, Malli Pelli is a bold tale that revolves around Naresh, Pavithra, and Vanitha Vijayakumar are a gripping way. 

On the flip side, the slow narration comes as a demerit for the movie. Cashing in on the craze of the real-life story, the film has a fair chance to end up as a money spinner at the box office.
