Khushbu Sundar has responded to trolls who said she converted in order to wed her husband, the director Sunder C.
Actress and politician Khushbu Sundar has hit back at trolls who claim she converted to Christianity in order to wed filmmaker Sunder C. She continued by describing her 23-year marriage as “rock solid.”
Khushbu responded to haters on Twitter by claiming they had never heard of the “special marriage act”
Khushbu Sundar said, “Those who question my marriage, or say I have converted to marry my husband, I say get some sense n education pls. Sad, they have never heard of ‘special marriage act’ which exists in our country
Khushbu Sundar added, “I have neither converted nor have been asked to do so.
My marriage of 23 yrs is rock solid, based on trust, respect, equality and love. So those who have doubts, pls go for a hike. You need it.”
Khushbu, who began her career in show business as a child performer, wed Sundar C in 2000. Sundar C is a film actor, director, and producer.
Since then, she has gone by Khushbu Sundar, her married name. Avantika and Anandita, their two daughters, were born. After getting married, she changed her name to Sundar.
The Special Marriage Act, 1954 is a law passed by the Parliament that allows for civil unions between citizens of the nation and all Indian nationals living abroad, regardless of the religion or belief practised by either side.
