Kaalkoot Web Series Review and Rating

‘Kaalkoot’ is an entertaining thriller that revolves around the life of a dedicated police officer Ravi Shankar Tripathi.

It stars Vijay Varma and Shweta Tripathi in lead roles. It is directed by Sumit Saxena.  It is available on JioCinema.

Story : Episode explores tired system through Parul (Shweta Tripathi), attacked in the first episode.

Inspector Ravi Shankar Tripathi (Vijay Verma) dislikes uniform heat and considers resigning.

Under pressure from marriage and corrupt system, it remains uncertain if he will solve Attack Victim Parul's case.

Performance : Shweta Tripathi Sharma delivers emotional performance as Parul, an acid attack survivor, effectively expressing character's emotions.

Shweta's character's face shows real acid attack marks, thanks to Dhananjay Prajapati's hard work.

Yashpal Sharma and Gopal Dutt are also in the role of police officers and have played their role very well.

Vijay Varma portrays a psycho serial killer in 'Dahad', contrasting with SI Ravi Shankar as a policeman .

Seema Biswas portrays Ravi Shankar's mother seeking a suitable girl for her son's marriage.

Technicalities :Arunabh Kumar and Sumit Saxena have woven the incidents of everyday life in a very good and poignant way in the story.

This series made under the direction of Sumit Saxena is good, although the story seems complicated till the very end.

Analysis :  This web series is a real experience.  The helplessness of Shweta’s character is disappointing.

Ravi, played by Vijay Varma, is an innocent man irritated by the system's arrogance, bullying, and attitude, but also a part of it.

This web series is based on the dilemma of a common man. With whom every common man would like to join.

Verdict :  Kalkoot initially appears enjoyable, but becomes confusing after five episodes.

Eight episodes explore tired system, corruption, and unnecessary things, highlighting the system's tiredness and potential for off-trackness.

Rating :  2/5
