Jawan: Is It Set to Overtake ‘Baahubali 2’ in Hindi Collections?
Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film, “Jawan,” has been setting box office records ablaze with its extraordinary performance over the weekend.
This biggie has a shattered existing records in Indian cinema, amassing a staggering 500 crore rupees in just four days.
However, despite this remarkable achievement, “Jawan” still has a significant hurdle to overcome to claim the title of the highest grossing Hindi film in India.
“Baahubali 2” continues to hold the top position with a gross of over 725 crores in Hindi box office.
While both “Pathaan” and “Gadar 2” have surpassed “Baahubali 2” in terms of net collections, their gross earnings fall short.
It’s worth noting that during the release of “Baahubali 2,” Bollywood faced high taxes, which impacted the net earnings.
Currently, “Jawan” has garnered an impressive 252 crore rupees in net collections in Hindi over four days,
with early estimates for today’s earnings around 30 crore rupees.
To dethrone “Baahubali 2” as the highest grossing Hindi film, “Jawan” needs to amass close to 600 crore rupees in net collections.
Whether it can achieve this feat or if “Baahubali 2” will maintain its top place remains to be seen.
