Ameesha Patel in the character of Sakina has more screen time otherwise her acting is okay.
Utkarsh looks fine in the character of Jeete. Manish Wadhwa is in the role of Major General Hamid, his acting is commendable.
Technicalities: Anil Sharma has taken over the direction of this film which looks fine.
There is a lack in the writing part of the film, due to which the film seems a bit loose.
Anil Sharma fell a bit weak in the casting of this film as Utkarsh Sharma could not fit into the character of Jeete.
Analysis: Fans were quite excited about the on-screen pairing of Tara Singh and Sakina back on screen after 22 years, however, post the release of the film, their response has not been kind.
This time the story of the film mainly revolves around Tara Singh and Jeete. There are many dialogues of Jeete that do not match his character.
Manish Wadhwa’s acting in the film is amazing, the rest is fine. The story of the film has become weak in the second half, due to which the thrill has reduced a bit.
Along with Hindustan Pakistan, Hindu Muslims has also been shown in the film, so that somewhere you will feel that the film is being unnecessarily dragged here.
The background score of the film is decent. The song Gadar Ek Prem Katha has been re-composed in the film which sounds perfect. The songs haven’t been tinkered with which makes it a little nicer.
For Utkarsh Sharma, this character went a bit for hire due to which he failed to leave his mark.
Verdict: Overall, there is nothing new in the story of the film. The film awakens patriotism but till the very end, the film seems a bit boring.
Overall, the film can be given a chance, after that, it would be better not to expect much from the rest of the film.
