Actress Wamiqa Gabbi, who has been noticed quite a bit after her debut film, Bhale Manche Roju is now going to play a wrestler from Punjab in her Malayalam debut film ‘Godha’. The movie will be directed by filmaker Basil Joseph. The actress is mighty excited about her next role and can’t wait to start preparations.
While speaking to an English Daily, she said, “It’s different role and I’m someone who wants to do challenging roles. So when the role came my way, I was kicked about it. This is my debut film in Malayalam and playing a Punjabi girl is even more exciting as I’m from Punjab.
The Actress also detailed, “It’s a sports rom-com based on wrestling.I’ll go to Amritsar in April to train in wrestling and a woman wrestler has been roped in for the purpose.” The film will be shot in Punjab and Kerala and is scheduled to go on the floors by June. Way to go Wamiqa!
