The grand success celebrations of Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja’s Sankranthi winner, Waltair Veerayya happened last night at Hanamkonda, Warangal. Along with Chiranjeevi, his son cum Mega Powerstar Ram Charan attended the event as a chief guest.
Speaking at the event, Chiranjeevi said that he is very happy that Waltair Veerayya is on track to become a Non-SRR industry hit. He even remained the contribution of Ravi Teja for the film. Talking about Ram Charan, “Ram Charan may not have received a National Award for his role of Chitti Babu in Rangasthalam but the appreciation and love he received went beyond that. People are still talking about his outstanding performance in the film”, said the Megastar.
On the other hand, director Bobby was seen a bit emotional while speaking at the success event.”When Megastar Chiranjeevi garu learned that my father would expire in four months Annaya invited us to his home and assured my father that his son would become the biggest director. I’m not sure where he got that confidence because only thirty percent of the shooting happened by that time”, said Bobby.
Bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers banner, Waltair Veerayya clocked more than Rs 210 crore gross at the worldwide box office and is still minting decent revenues. While Kona Venkat has provided dialogues, Devi Sri Prasad composed soundtracks for this actioner entertainer.
