The Vaccine War director Vivek Agnihotri has released a brand-new song from the movie.
The bio-science movie “The Vaccine War” has made available a hard rock rendition of the Rigvedic hymn “Nasadiya Sukta.”
The Hymn of Creation is given a hard rock edge in this rendition, which combines the typical aural aesthetics of mantras with its intricate Hindi intonations. It seems both incredibly serious and simultaneously tranquil and peaceful.
Nasadiya Sukta from “The Vaccine War” combines traditional folk music with hard-edged rock riffs that are reminiscent of classical Carnatic music. It also includes shreddy guitar solos, sitars, and chanting.
The audio design is excellent, the production is roaring loud, the bass is a little muted, and the drums are straightforward but don’t have a loud enough effect on the snare or the cymbals.
But that can be easily overlooked because of the intense guitar riffs, which also give off the impression that you are inside a temple and that monks are chanting the Sukta directly in front of you.
The song’s release was announced by Vivek Agnihotri on his X account, which replaced Twitter. He wrote: “THE WAIT IS OVER: Launching Nasadiya Sukta from Rigveda that features in #TheVaccineWar #ATrueStory. The first scientific theory to explain the origin of the universe is called Nasadiya Sukta. Please spread the word about this and the scientific attitude of hindu civilization
The song is backed by a music video that features scenes from the film that discuss the creation of the vaccine, the media’s generally unfavourable role, political controversies, and the scientists’ drive to “Make In India” something genuine and doable.
‘Nasadiya Sukta’, which is the 129th sukta from the 10th mandala of the book, is a hymn from the Rigveda that is intended for laypeople.
The entire sukata describes the creation of the world from a void born of emptiness before even existing in its Sanskrit passages.
It then discusses the original seeds that the One above planted before there was darkness, light, mortality, and immortality.
Although this is not credited to gods because the hymn claims that even gods arrived after creation began and that all that was created will one day be restored to the void, the seeds eventually find their ideal soil, bringing up strength and generating life.
The music video interrupts the song in the middle to show some very significant events, such as the media’s condemnation of the vaccine owing to their political allegiances, their complete lack of faith in the government, and their lack of faith in Indian craftsmanship.
The music video features two of Nana Patekar’s most significant exchanges, the first of which occurs when he addresses the scientists at the ICMR Today we have ICMR only because of the I (meaning that the Indian Council of Medical Research is only working because of its first initial which stands for ‘Indian’).
The second is when he addresses the media and claims that “If this vaccine had a label which was from the West, you wouldn’t even question it.”
On September 28, 2023, “The Vaccine War” will be presented in theatres.
