Sanjay Vishwanath (Suriya) is a wealthy businessman and former international pistol shooter. Though successful in life, he remains unmarried. His mother (Radhika Sarathkumar) dreams of seeing the next generation of the family and constantly wishes for him to settle down. Sanjay eventually becomes a father, but his happiness is short-lived when his son is diagnosed with a serious health condition that requires a bone marrow transplant. As he struggles to save his child and deal with emotional challenges, he meets Maddy (Mamitha Baiju), a cheerful young woman who slowly becomes an important part of his life. How Sanjay overcomes these challenges and finds happiness forms the rest of the story.
Performances: Suriya is undoubtedly the heart and soul of the film. He delivers a sincere and mature performance, relying more on emotions and expressions than heroic moments. His scenes with his mother and son are among the film’s biggest highlights. Mamitha Baiju is perfectly cast and brings a lot of energy to the narrative. She performs her role with ease and shares good chemistry with Suriya.
Radhika Sarathkumar is excellent in a crucial role. Her emotional scenes add depth to the film, and her presence elevates many important moments. Raveena Tandon has limited screen time and does not get much scope to perform. The rest of the supporting cast does a decent job and supports the story well.

Nimish Ravi’s cinematography is neat and visually appealing. However, much of the film takes place inside a lavish house, and the visuals tend to feel repetitive after a point.
Navin Nooli’s editing is decent but could have been tighter, especially in the second half. The production values from Sithara Entertainments are rich and give the film a polished look. Venky Atluri’s dialogues are natural and relatable. Several emotional scenes are written with warmth and connect well with the audience.
Analysis: The most interesting part of Vishwanath and Sons is its treatment of the age difference between the lead characters. Instead of making it a joke or turning it into unnecessary controversy, the film allows Sanjay and Maddy to make their own choices.

The bigger problem is the screenplay. The film has several good ideas and emotional scenes, but they do not always connect strongly. It sometimes feels like a series of separate moments rather than one tightly constructed story.
