Suriya recently made a strong comeback with Veerabhadrudu, which collected around Rs. 350 crore worldwide. He has now arrived with Vishwanath And Sons, his first straight Telugu film, directed by Venky Atluri and produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments.
The teaser and trailer created good buzz, while Suriya’s comeback and Mamitha Baiju’s presence raised expectations. Though the film received mixed talk on day one, it registered strong openings.

Vishwanath And Sons had a worldwide theatrical business of Rs. 63.5 crore and needed Rs. 64 crore share to break even. The film collected Rs. 64.21 crore share and Rs. 115.9 crore gross worldwide, achieving break-even.
However, it still needs Rs. 5.21 crore share in the Telugu states to reach its regional break-even target.
