Ever since senior comedian Prudhvi’s “11 Sheep” comment at the pre-release event, Vishwak Sen’s film Laila has been caught in controversy on social media.
Despite boycott calls, the film is releasing worldwide today as a Valentine’s Day special.
Vishwak Sen shared an emotional video on Twitter, requesting everyone to watch Laila and support him. He said there was a misunderstanding and that he had already apologized on behalf of his team.
He reminded fans that he had come this far without any industry background, purely because of their support. “If I win, you all win too. If you encourage me, I’ll bring you more interesting characters,” he said.
Vishwak also emphasized that Laila was made just to entertain and make people laugh. He added that many careers depend on the film’s success and urged everyone once again to give it a chance.
